In Back to the Future, Daniel Roseberry doesn’t merely look ahead, he invokes a parallel dimension where the sacred past and speculative future coexist, stitched together by golden thread and memory. The Fall/Winter 2025–26 Haute Couture collection is a meditation on time, vision, and the surreal sanctity of form.

Rather than gesture toward innovation through futurism alone, Roseberry returns to the house’s mythic codes Elsa Schiaparelli’s surrealism, anatomical symbolism, religious iconography – to articulate a tomorrow that breathes through yesterday’s bones. This isn’t nostalgia; it’s resurrection.

The show opened with silhouettes that felt less designed than conjured: towering shoulders like reliquaries of power, sculpted bodices in radiant gold, velvet so deep it read as a void. Corsetry returned not as constraint, but as armor; accessories eyes, hearts, keys functioned as living glyphs, echoing the language of the subconscious.

Here, Schiaparelli’s couture becomes a form of ritual dressing. The body is a relic, the garment its reliquary. The stage is no longer just a runway, it is an altar, a dimension where time folds into itself. As light struck the gilded fabrics, what shimmered wasn’t merely craftsmanship it was divination.

There is a theatricality here, of course, but not without meaning. Roseberry’s brilliance lies in how he balances grandeur with restraint, symbolism with structure. The garments are built with the precision of architecture and the vulnerability of poetry. They demand reverence, not applause.
In Back to the Future, the future isn’t chrome or algorithmic. It’s mystical, mythological. Fashion becomes a time-travel device, not toward a techno-utopia, but toward something more intimate: a vision of ourselves as we once were divine, dreaming, and dressed for revelation.
