A night where cinema, fashion and contemporary art converged in Venice, as Pamela Anderson and Marina Abramović were honoured at the sixth annual amfAR Venezia Gala in celebration of courage, inspiration and the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS.

Against the timeless backdrop of the city, the evening unfolded as both a celebration of creativity and a reminder of the power of cultural influence when directed towards a greater cause. Hosted by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi, the black-tie gala united artists, actors, designers, collectors and philanthropists in support of amfAR and its ongoing commitment to HIV/AIDS research.
At the centre of the evening were two women whose careers have, in radically different ways, challenged conventions and expanded the meaning of influence.
Pamela Anderson received the amfAR Award of Courage, recognising a journey that has extended far beyond her status as a global pop-culture figure. Over the years, Anderson has increasingly used her visibility to advocate for animal rights, human rights and causes rooted in compassion and vulnerability.
